Community-building entrepreneurs of the year

Jonas Hedlund, founder of ZeoMem Sweden, and Christian Olsson, CEO of Sustainalube, have been awarded the “community-building entrepreneurs of the year” by the ÅForsk foundation and SISP, Swedish Incubators & Science Parks.

Through research at Luleå University of Technology, Zeomem has developed a process for the separation of gas mixtures in industry. Their unique and ultra-thin zeolite membrane makes the process cheaper and more energy efficient. Sustainalube has developed oil-free lubricants that are made from residual products from industry.

The ÅForsk Foundation was established in 1985. Its purpose is to work for research and development in: energy, environment, safety and sustainability, infrastructure, materials technology, processes and products from renewable raw materials.

The reward is 200 000 SEK and the prize ceremony took place in Norrköping on April 25, 2017.
